The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
From Goodreads
THE all-time classic story, from generation to generation, sold somewhere in the world every 30 seconds! Have you shared it with a child or grandchild in your life?
One sunny Sunday, the caterpillar was hatched out of a tiny egg. He was very hungry. On Monday, he ate through one apple; on Tuesday, he ate through three plums–and still he was hungry. When full at last, he made a cocoon around himself and went to sleep, to wake up a few weeks later wonderfully transformed into a butterfly!
The brilliantly innovative Eric Carle has dramatized the story of one of Nature’s commonest yet loveliest marvels, the metamorphosis of the butterfly. This audiobook will delight as well as instruct the very youngest listener.

Review
The classic children’s story that’s been around as long as I can remember. I rarely re-read books but this is one that I have re-read more times than I can count. I love it so much and never tire of the story. It’s a fun, entertaining, and educational read accompanied by amazing pictures. This book teaches counting, days of the week, life cycle of the caterpillar and its eventual transformation into a butterfly, and it also teaches about different types of food. There is so much to be enjoyed in the 26 pages that make up this book which shows the skill of the author in successfully making a timeless book. Hopefully, it will enjoy popularity for many more years to come.
