This imaginative picture book aims to take children beyond the first ten cardinal numbers, and introduces them to the patterns of counting in a fun and accessible way. Review
This is the third book I have read by this author, and like all the other ones it doesn’t disappoint. What strikes you first of all is the detail of the cover, which only gets better throughout the book. The illustrator is a great compliment to the author, they really make a great team.
The story of this book is really sweet. It’s designed to teach its target audience to count, and introduce them to rhyme. On every page there is the comment “Don’t ever look behind door 32″ which only causes the reader to want to look behind that door to just see what’s there. What’s there is perfectly innocent but perfectly understandable but to find out what it is you’ll have to read the book yourself.
