Review
I remember watching the movie of this book many years ago. I wasn’t overly taken with it from memory and I certainly didn’t realise that it was a book. I only picked this book up for a challenge I was trying to fulfill regarding reading a book set in snow. When I read the book I found that I much preferred the book to the movie. It’s a really sweet story about a boy who had a wonderful journey on a train called The Polar Express which took him to the North Pole where the town pulled out all the stops to celebrate Christmas. The boy learns about the meaning of Christmas, friendship, and bravery. The pictures were really great and very well done and just added to the story. I don’t reread many books but this one I would certainly consider rereading. I really enjoyed the story.
